A taste of summer in October...

Yesterday afternoon, in Jamaica Plain, these beautiful delicate flowers along the sidewalk, in mid-October.  (Click on the images for beautiful enlargements!)



And a close up of buds and blossoms, a burst of October beauty...

Aren't they lovely ?
I'm not a botanist or a gardener but this way of searching may help.I uploaded the image and pasted it into google image search and came across this website - it's not an exact match but looks similar.
